Approximately 6 years ago, the patient was admitted to the Taian Children's Hospital due to a sudden high fever, with the temperature reaching 40°C at its peak. After the fever subsided, the patient frequently experienced symptoms such as eye deviation, frothing at the mouth, muscle spasms, and loss of bowel and bladder control, leading to a diagnosis of symptomatic epilepsy. Subsequently, the patient sought treatment at various major hospitals in Jinan and Beijing, although the details of the treatment process are unclear. Later, the patient was transferred to a local hospital and has now been admitted to our hospital for further diagnosis and treatment. Since the onset of the illness, the patient has maintained clear consciousness, good mental state, normal eating and drinking, and regular bowel and bladder habits. However, the patient is unable to perform self-care activities, and there has been no significant change in weight.
